Man Allegedly Allowed Minors To Drink At Large Party In Wilton, Police Say

A 59-year-old man was arrested after allegedly allowing minors to drink during a large party in the area.

Patrick Cropper, 59, of Wilton, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, when Wilton Police officers were dispatched to the area of Sturges Ridge Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that a party was taking place and when they approached the residence, a large group of people were seen running into an adjacent property, Wilton Police said.

An investigation revealed that a large party involving minors was taking place on the property and that Cropper had allegedly permitted minors to possess alcohol, police said.

He was charged with allowing minors to possess alcohol and released on a promise to appear ticket. 

Cropper is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 30.
